Craft Fairs

At the beginning of October I was involved in a local craft fair at Trannack School. I teamed up with my sister Hermione. We had her buttons, calendars and cards and my Lampshades, bunting and bags. The stall looked great, and our things worked really well together.

We are now looking at other craft fairs that we can attend together. We are already booked in for Godolphin School on the 26th November and Crowan Crafts which is running from the 29th November to the 10th December. We have a few more to be confirmed.

Elsie's Bedroom

For the past year we have been stripping out and putting back together the two top rooms in our house. We have now finally moved the children back into their bedrooms, they do still need some finishing off , but I have been making bits for Elsie's room, a blind, lamp and bunting!

I love going up into their rooms and seeing all that we have achieved, stripping them right back to the rafters and leaving beams exposed.

Next on my list is to make Tom the same, he has been asking for a lamp too!

Wedding Maps

As I have mentioned before my clever sister Hermione is very creative also!

This year I have made wedding invitations for my sister in law and we were discussing how people were going to find the venue, which was down a very narrow windy lane! I came up with the idea of asking Hermione to create a map to put inside the invite, and she came up with this amazing hand drawn design.

This has of course lead to other maps being created, one for my best friend Kerensa and Owain's wedding (which I was a bridesmaid) and she is in the process of creating another.

If you would like her to design you a map then contact her on hermionerqm@hotmail.com

Planting

Yesterday I was very excited as a box arrived from Rocket Gardens, a Christmas present from my sister-in-law, containting baby plants of Spinach, Lettuces, Golden Streak Mustard, Mizuna and Wild Rocket, Dwarf French Green Beans, Beetroot, Spring Onions, Chives, Parsley and Sorrell. I could'nt wait to open it and get them in the ground. I spent yesterday afternoon putting some in our allotment, and the rest have gone in our raised beds in the garden. I also had help from two little ones!!

Finished order

I finished and delivered my next wedding stationery order.

My favourite moment is finishing it all off, making a box and wrapping it all up.
Think it's time for a new camera looking at these images!

60 Years!

My Grandparents are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Unbelievable!

6o years ago

Peter and I have been married for 3 years, hope we make it to 60!

They live in the south of France so won't be seeing them until the summer, we have booked our ferry tickets so very excited to be taking the children on holiday and for Elsie to meet her great grandparents. My parents are flying over this week to spend the weekend with them as a surprise, they are having a party thrown for them by my Auntie so expect they will have a wonderful time celebrating.

I made them one of my cards and put together a photo album of the children.

I cant wait for the summer to visit them.

I just don't know where the time goes.

It has been such a long time since I updated anything! I have been very busy over the Christmas period with knitting for Knicky Knitwear, making cushion covers and seat covers for a beautiful holiday let in Porthleven and general Christmas things.
At the moment I am in the process of making wedding stationery for my sister-in-law. I am really enjoying using my sewing machine. Unfortunately I am having a problem with my felt supplier so am desperately trying to find a new stockist, not advisable to run out when your half way though an order!

I am just waiting for Elsie to wake from her nap and then we are off to the local library for story time.
